The 40-150mm focal range (80-300mm equivalent in 35mm format) is perfectly suited to a wide range of professional photographic applications including; wildlife, portraiture, weddings, sports and even picking out smaller details when utilising with the minimum focus distance of 70cm across the entire focal range. The constant maximum aperture of F2.8 allows you to shoot in low light conditions and capture images with a shallow depth of field and smooth bokeh for attractive defocussed backgrounds. The OM System M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm F2.8 telephoto zoom lens can also be combined with either the Olympus MC-14 1.4x Teleconverter or the MC-20 2x Teleconverter allowing for further magnification.

The M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm F2.8 boasts an impressive optical design featuring 16 elements in 10 groups, including no less than 1 aspherical ED lens, 2 aspherical lenses, 1 Super ED lens, 3 ED lenses and 1 HR lens. This is combined with OM System’s ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) coating to effectively remove ghosting and flare. This precise optical engineering comes together to create an extremely refined lens capable of achieving exceptional resolution, able to meet the demands of photographers working at any level.

True to the portable Micro Four Thirds system
As it expected with the OM System M.Zuiko PRO range of lenses, the 40-150mm F2.8 is able to deliver this professional-grade quality in a form factor much smaller than what would be possible in traditional telephoto lenses for full-frame DSLR”s or cameras featuring larger image sensors. Weighing in at only 760g (880g with included tripod collar) and only 1600mm in length this lens is truly portable, complimenting the compact and lightweight design of the OM-D Cameras.
